Debbie Kitchin
Every 10 years, the Portland City Council appoints an independent Charter Review Commission to review and recommend amendments to the City of Portland Charter. The charter is a founding document of a City that establishes the governing system and structure. Over the next two years, the Commission will study and propose amendments to the Charter that will go initially to City Council and ultimately, may go to voters for approval. Debbie Kitchin is a member of the Charter Commission and will present an overview of their upcoming work.
